Michael Witcher


A much-in-demand session player in LA and Nashville, Michael has worked with such artists as Dwight Yoakam, Fernando Ortega, Peter Rowan, Laurie Lewis, Tyler Hilton, Missy Raines and The New Hip, John Paul Jones (bassist of Led Zeppelin), Sara Watkins (Nickel Creek), The Gibson Brothers, Dolly Parton, Joan Osborn, Willie Watson (Old Crow Medicine Show), and Chris Jones among others. He has played the Grand Ole Opry and Prairie Home Companion many times and you can hear him on hundreds of records, sound tracks, commercials and tv shows. Mike sits in on the "Aina Kaula Project" for "Kern River" and pulls together a pack of instrumental monsters (Stephen Inglis, Jeff Dayton, Bill Griffin, Don Kaulia) on the "Manu Kapalulu" track.
